Riverpoint

This house utilises thoughtful design and engineering solutions to maximise the site’s challenging sloping frontage and setbacks to deliver an expansive, uninterrupted view of the mighty Waikato River. The floor-to-ceiling glazing runs the entire length of the house, embracing the living spaces and the  master bedroom. The inward-facing courtyard has been cleverly articulated to maximise shelter and privacy. It has a sightline through to the river and connects seamlessly to the central living area of the house for the entire  family to enjoy. A pleasing material palette of brick, timber and glass is  softened with sheer curtains, creating an ambience that is warm and enduring.
